This week, Affiliated kindergarten of Zhonghai Primary School hosted its Parent Open Day. Teachers and parents gathered together to exchange ideas on early childhood education, building shared understanding through meaningful dialogue and gaining strength through genuine connection.

Outdoor Play, Full of Energy
2 hours of outdoor activity + 1 hour of physical education every day helps children build strong bodies through movement and embrace childhood with joy.
Why are at least two hours of outdoor time and one hour of physical education so important each day?
The essence of education is to support children in becoming whole and happy individuals. Our daily outdoor time is a vivid expression of our child-centered philosophy: rather than confining children to classrooms, we encourage them to run freely under the sun and grow naturally in the world around them. Childhood should carry the feeling of the breeze and the warmth of sunlight, allowing education to remain both lively and nurturing.
Physical education is a time of joyful movement, shared laughter, and the most vibrant expressions of childhood. With movement as wings and sunlight as nourishment, ensuring daily outdoor activity is not just a slogan, but a fundamental commitment we uphold.

As the saying goes, “Those who delight in learning are better than those who merely know it.” We named this space the “Valley of Joy” to reflect this belief: that every child may embrace learning and life with joy.
Through close collaboration between kindergarten and primary school, educational resources are shared and extended. Daily exploration in the Valley of Joy helps children develop curiosity and courage. Here, they explore with focus and grow with confidence, gaining knowledge while also cultivating character through meaningful experiences.
Interacting with animals is one of the gentlest ways for children to explore the world. Here, we accompany them as they explore and grow in their beloved Valley of Joy, filling every encounter with warmth and care, and allowing childhood to shine through nature and connection.
